Independent coffee in the heart of Heath Park.
Having stumbled across the building for the first time when taking our own little ones to the playground, the potential was immediately apparent to us, it was just like our little cabin.. but bigger and not (yet) blue. The Hut is the result of years of campaigning to reopen the former pitch and putt in Heath Park and turn it into a much-needed community coffee spot. Since opening in summer 2024, it has quickly become a favourite for dog walkers, families, football crowds and hospital staff looking for great coffee and fresh air.

Why visit Heath Park?
Woodland Walks and Fresh Air
Heath Park's woodland paths are perfect for a relaxing stroll, a great reason to step away from your screen and ideal for clearing your head. Grab a hot chocolate and a flapjack and enjoy watching and listening to the local wildlife. It's a guaranteed mood-booster in any season.
Miniature Railway Open Days
We're lucky to have Heath Park's Miniature Railway right on our doorstep. It opens it's doors to the public on the last Sunday of the Spring and Summer months; bringing ride-on trains, trams and some of the best miniature railway displays in the city.
Weekends, Football & Fresh Coffee
Weekends are when The Hut really comes alive. Local football teams fill the surrounding pitches, with parents cheering from the sidelines. A flat white and a bacon and egg mayonnaise bagel makes standing in all weathers far more enjoyable.
Kids Playground, Tennis Courts & Open Fields
Heath Park boasts a brilliant playground for the kids (suitable for all ages), well used tennis courts if you fancy a quick game and plenty of open green space - perfect for a walk, a kick-about or simply unwinding in the fresh air. However you choose to enjoy Heath Park why not grab a freshly brewed coffee and something tasty from us to take with you.
How to find us
We're a five-minute walk from Heath Hospital and can be found opposite the kids playground and tennis courts in Heath Park. We're also a stones throw away from the Heath Park Miniature Railway.
If you're driving, there is short stay parking available in the nearby car parks.
We're open seven days a week, 52 weeks a year (with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year's Day).
As Heath Park has no street lighting our closing times follow daylight hours - typically 4pm in the Winter and 6pm in the Summer - weather permitting. Our current opening hours can always be found on Google and across our social media channels.
